How It Works
File Upload or Download
The trigger intercepts file uploads to Salesforce or downloads from Salesforce, depending on your configuration.
Scan
The file is sent to the external scan cluster for analysis.
Result Processing
Results are processed. Clean files pass through, threats are blocked or quarantined.
Notification
Admins and users are notified based on your notification settings.
Logging
All activity is logged for audit and compliance.
Record Created or Updated
A record is created or updated in Salesforce, triggering the URL scanning process.
URL Extraction
URLs are extracted from all configured text fields and the user's Protection Profile is identified.
Allow and Block List Check
URLs are checked against the configured allow and block lists. Matches are resolved immediately.
External Scan
Remaining URLs are sent to the external scan service for analysis.
Result Processing
Based on scan results, each URL is allowed, blocked or removed in the field content.
