Notification Configuration

Overview

Configure in-app notifications (Salesforce bell icon) and email notifications for security events, separately for admin groups and end users. This page also controls weekly report settings and the report scheduler.

Accessing Notification Settings

  1. Open Settings → Notification tab
  2. Use the Admin Group Settings section for administrator notifications
  3. Use the User Settings section for notifications sent to the user who triggered the scan

Admin Group Notifications

Email Recipients

Enter one or more email addresses (comma-separated) to receive admin notifications.

Notification Events

Select which events and channels should trigger a notification for the admin group:

File Policy ViolationA file violated a policy rule
Malicious URL ScanA scanned URL was identified as malicious
URL Policy ViolationA URL violated a configured URL policy rule
Org-Wide Email Address

Select the org-wide email address to use as the sender for email notifications. This must be a verified org-wide email address configured in Salesforce Setup.

Test Email

Click Send Test Email to verify your email configuration is working correctly. A test email will be sent to the configured admin recipients.

User Notifications

Configure notifications sent to the user who triggered the scan, covering the same events as admin notifications with reduced detail.

Weekly Report Settings

Weekly Report

Turns the weekly report on or off. When enabled, the scheduled report can email administrators a summary every Monday at 8 AM org time.

Include license issues

Adds license related issues to the weekly report so administrators can see users who need attention.

Include critical system activities

Adds critical Audit Trail events to the weekly report.

The weekly report can include:

  1. File and URL scan activity from the last 7 days.
  2. Optional license issues grouped by user.
  3. Optional critical system activity events.

Weekly Report Scheduler

Use Start Weekly Report Scheduler and Stop Weekly Report Scheduler to control the weekly report job.

You can also start this scheduler from the Installation Assistant. See Schedulers for all scheduled jobs.

Custom Email Templates

Email notification content can be customized per event type. Click the Configure email templates link to access the template editor.
